I was born on the 22 January 1982 in Rochester (MN). I lived in Gorgonzola, Italy, till the age of 24. I studied Mechanical Engineer at Politechnic of Milan, where I received a MSc degree in Mechatronics, on July 2006. I then worked for 3 months as a research assistant at the Department of Electronics and Informatics of the Politechnic of Milan. In January 2007, I moved to Genoa, Italy, to start a PhD in Robotics. I received my PhD diploma in 2011, after which I moved to the Netherlands where I started a postdoc at the University of Twente, and where I discovered my new passion for drone's technology. I was involved in the EU projects AIRobots and Sherpa, and I became the PI in 2015 of the H2020 project AEROWORKS. In december 2015 I finally moved to Denmark, where I am now Assistant Professor in Mechatronics, and where I am continuing working on my passion.
